With the exception of driver`s license numbers, all information requested in the application is mandatory, including disclosure of Social Security Numbers (SSNs). Collection of the SSN is authorized by B&P Code Section 30 and Public Law 94-455 (42 U.S.C.A. 405(c)(2)(C)). NSSs are used only for tax enforcement purposes and/or compliance with family support judgments or orders under article 17520 of the Family Code. If you do not disclose your Social Security number, you will be reported to the Franchise Tax Commission, which may fine you $100 (or more). The official responsible for retaining this information is the Contractors State License Board. Information may be shared with other government or government agencies. Individuals have the right to review records or records of their own held by the Agency, unless the records are identified as confidential information and are exempt from section 1798.3 of the Information Practices Act. If the qualifier was previously licensed, it may be possible for the previous license number to be reissued or reassigned. (See Section 7075.1 of the B&P Code and Form 13A-1h) A grant program was established in 1991 to fund eligible public post-secondary schools that teach construction management. The terms « eligible person » and « qualifier » are used interchangeably. The eligible person is the person who meets the experience and examination requirements for the licence and who is responsible for the employer or director. A qualified person is required for each classification on each licence issued by the CSLB. The authorized person may or may not be the owner of the business. The brochure contains an open-book study of asbestos-related work. All applicants for a contractor`s license must complete and sign the open book exam and submit it to the CSLB with the required filing and fee form. Completion of the asbestos open book test does not entitle you to perform asbestos-related work. Any contractor performing asbestos-related work must apply for asbestos certification (Form 13A-25) and pass the required closed-book exam. Applicants are not required by law to submit any of the documents listed below. However, if you do not submit relevant documents, it can significantly delay the investigation and result in the rejection of your contractor`s licence application. In addition, you may need to provide additional evidence of the experience of other contractors in the same industry classification. The CSLB will usually request additional documents before rejecting the application in its entirety.

If you need to retake an exam, you have 18 months after your application is approved to get a successful mark on the exam (subject to certain restrictions). During this period, you can take the exam an unlimited number of times. A $50 fee is charged each time you submit an exam. Article 7065.3 of the Code of Business and Liberal Professions provides that he may be exempted from an additional classification examination in very strict and limited situations. .
